If you are now reading this, maybe you already know that **the best accommodation in the Mayan Riviera is vacation apartments**. All-inclusive packages and hotels are so 21st century’s first decade, since the vacation rentals business is now leading the hospitality industry.
In the light of this scenario, there are many vacation apartments now, with a great variety of options regarding location, amenities, size, price, and so on. Just check out any vacation rentals site and you will get an idea.
Taking into account your budget as well as your needs and expectations, you could choose between these options:
****
#### Luxury apartments vs cheap apartments
What do you prefer? If you only want a place for sleeping and spending the night, well, a cheap option with basic services will be enough. However, if you’re willing to have a superb experience in the Mayan Riviera and feel more comfortable than at your own home, enjoying modern services and amenities, paying the price will be worth it.
#### Single apartments vs apartment buildings
There are single, independent, apartments, sometimes located next to the owner’s house, and there are also apartments that are part of a condominium. The latter’s advantage is that it provides amenities such as swimming pools, bar, common areas, and so on, for the guests.
#### Apartments in popular areas vs apartments in less popular areas
Prices may vary according to the apartment’s location. Booking an option in a less sought-after area may be cheaper, but you will need to rent a car or take a taxi, so you won’t be saving your money either.
