First of all, there’s the beach! If you need more, there are also a lot of clubs, bars, and restaurants where you will have a great time. On the other hand, if you want to chill, you can visit a spa or a wellness center, they are among the latest trends in town. There are many options… but, wait… what’s that on the other side of the sea? It’s Cozumel! **Just 45 minutes away by ferry, and there are departures every hour**. Yes, east of Playa del Carmen this magical island awaits. It’s the first Mexican place where the sun rises everyday, and **one of the most important scuba diving destinations in the world**, thanks to the crystal-clear ocean and the wonderful reefs it has. You can also enjoy Cozumel’s beaches: San Francisco, Playa Encantada, and Palancar, or the National Marine Park Chankanaab where you can see crocodiles and sea lions. When you come to Playa del Carmen, remember that Cozumel is a great opportunity to spend a day to remember.
